Thanks "nightwatchman". Due thanks should go to you too, because without your initiative back in 2002, this website wouldn't exist.

So ... a huge "Thank You" to you too.

Cheers!

Hi nightwatchman;
As the webmaster said, thank you for your kind comments and thank you for your foresight back in 2002. This society had to happen because for decades, there was nowhere collectors could exchange ideas and compare notes. This society is a source of information.

Cheers

I'd like to congratulate the Committee for their efforts in the development of this website, which has a nice look and feel.

I imagine that the website will prove to be useful in informing collectors of the Society's existence.

I just noticed a flaw in the way the website links to users' websites (as listed in their Forum User Profiles).

For instance, Colleen W's user profile lists her website as www.ozpictormarks.com but when I clicked on the link the system attempted to take me to:

http://www.acs-inc.com.au/members/profile/1314818/www.ozpictormarks.com
and what I got was a "Page cannot be found" message. This happened in both Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.

I discovered this as I added my websites (a personal page and my Live Journal; nothing about stamps/covers, but a reasonable amount about other interests) and went to check that the links work.

Thanks for the heads up about the website Irwin - not sure how to fix that in this environment ...\

And thanks for the promo on StampBoards.

Ah ha Irwin! When I was putting the information in for Colleen W., I ticked the box to allow HTML and italicised "Australian PictorMarks". As soon as I took the HTML code out, it appeared to work. There you go! Lesson learned ... don't tick the "Allow HTML" box, and don't use HTML!!

It's also actually safer to do a cut and paste of the website address - I'll let CityMax know of the problem.

Colleen, I assume CityMax are the software providers and/or website host.

I managed to get things to work so that I can get linked through to my website. However I still have the same problem when trying to link through to your website.

Best wishes for the New Year, Colleen.

I would like to post a scan of a maxicard with the hope that a member could help with identification.
Can I do this on our site or should I put a link to an external web page?

G'day Noel ... belated Merry Happies to you too! There has been so little activity on this page, I've not looked for a few days. Let me have a jpeg of the card and I'll have a play around with putting it up here. Good practice! Thanks ...
