Invitation to Join
Cover collecting is booming in Australia. Recently, single, hand painted FDCs by Eric Ogden and Jack Peake have sold for $1,800 and $2,500 respectively.
The Australian Cover Society (ACS) was formed on 24 May 2002 to represent cover collectors and promote their hobby. It was registered under the Associations Act (Victoria) on 24 September 2002. At present it has about 170 members.
The Cover Collector, Journal of the ACS is published three times a year. This contains important, new and definitive articles about the producers of Australian philatelic covers, both historical and present day. The Cover Collector is professionally typeset and printed. It has become Australia's premier source of information on covers. Back issues are available here.

The opportunity to exhibit your cover collection, including in an annual Members' Competition, and thus give others the chance to look and learn.

The right to participate in ACS cover auctions. These are Australia's foremost auctions devoted exclusively to philatelic covers. Each auction includes typically about 120 to 150 cover lots, correctly described.

Issues 22 (Autumn), 23 (Winter), and 24 (Spring/Summer) of The Cover Collector as they are published during the year, and access to back issues. Full details of the contents of past issues are on the Society website.

Access to the Society's commemorative covers (details will be sent to new members on joining and will be available on this website).

The opportunity to participate in ACS Auctions. Lots are detailed in each Journal.
- Access to the Society's "Members Only" area of our website is now being established.
